ATTENTION - THE OAK HILLS 8TH WARD HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CARE AND UPKEEP OF THE CENTER PART OF THE CHURCH BUILDING (THE CHAPEL, CULTURAL HALL, STAGE, AND HIGH COUNCIL ROOM).

THIS IS A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY AMONG ALL OF US.  

If your last name begins with the letters O, P, or Q, please consider staying after church for just a bit to help pick up and vacuum.  Please meet Mikhail Pappin by the kitchen to help out.

Ward Activities: 

Monday 7 PM Pickleball (Cultural Hall), FHE & Games,  Service Activity (RS Room - making knit hats), Lego building group (Children's Meeting Room)

Tuesday 7 PM Volleyball (Cultural Hall), Institute (RS Room)

Note: Volleyball will be on the first, third, and fourth Tuesdays of the month. 

The second Thursday of the month will  be Ward  Temple Night.

-July 10 - Endowment Session at the Payson Temple, 7:40 PM. Meet at the temple chapel or meet at the church at 6:30 PM to carpool

-July 19 - Saturday - Road trip to Manti Temple - Endowment session at 10:30 AM. Meet in the Manti Temple chapel or meet at the church at 8:15 AM to carpool. There will be a light lunch afterwards and we plan to be back around 3:00 PM. There are limited seats, so if you are planning to come, please fill out this two question form so we can plan accordingly. 

-July 24 - Ward Activity: We are going to be walking/running the Annual Temple to Temple race. Meet at the church building at 6:45 AM to leave at 7:00 am. At the end of the race we will have water, fruit, and baked goods for everyone. We invite you to use the ward walk/run groupme to prepare for the race (all downhill). Mark your calendars and we will see you at the race! The race organizer asks that all participants register and receive a bib. Musical Numbers: If you are interested in doing a musical number during sacrament meeting, please contact Lindsay Priday.

Reminder: Activities will be wrapping up around 10:15 pm because the building needs to be cleaned and locked up by 10:30 pm. In the recent past we have done activities until the sun come up, but now we will respect the 10:30 pm time. Please plan your attendance accordingly. 

Temple Foundations Class: Join us for Temple Foundations class. We meet in th high council room during Sunday School hour. It is not Temple Prep. The Temple Foundations class is about enhancing our understanding of the temple, covenants, worship in the house of the Lord, and ministering on both sides of the veil.  Anyone can come to all the lessons or only the topics that most interest them. 

July 6 - "How does the temple 1) help prepare us and 2) help us to help prepare the world for the Savior's Second Coming? Why do we need to be attending the temple even more now and in the coming days?"

July 20 - "What about the Savior's Atonement and the temple?"

Big News!! We created a Group Me for temple work. Search for “Oak Hills 8th Ward Temple Group” in the Group Me app. It's similar to the walking group (please see above for more information), you can post something like "I am doing the 7:00pm session at Provo City Center on May 10 if anyone wants to join meet in the temple chapel at 6:45pm”
